About Us
The Coachella Chess Club (CCC) was founded in 2019 and is dedicated to sharing a passion with others and promoting USCF (US Chess) Rated events as well as casual play. We are a USCF Affiliate and conduct Rated as well as Unrated events on a regular basis.
Based in Coachella, CA, CCC is representative of all the desert cities in the Coachella Valley. We are an active and enthusiastic Chess Club with events and activities taking place year-round. We like to keep up the energy and excitement, always welcoming new members to take part. Simply put, we love getting together to do what we love.
Players of all ages and skill level are welcome. Currently, CCC meets every Thursday from 4pm - 6:45pm at the La Quinta Public Library where we host Rated Tournaments, Exhibitions and casual play on a regular basis.

Please join us this Thursday, April 25th for casual play and matches. Players of all ages and skill level are welcome as are spectators.
Please join us May 2nd for Coach Lars' Live Game Breakdown at the club! The Breakdown will begin at approximately 4:30pm.
Our next USCF Rated Tournament will take place on Thursday, May 9th and consist of 4-5 man "Groups" arranged by Rating. Game in 10 (no increment). $10 entry, winner takes all in each Group. Entry MUST BE RECEIVED no later than May 2nd. No onsite entries allowed as Groups will be finalized in advance. Prizes awarded via Zelle or Paypal at the conclusion of the event. Ties for 1st Split prize.
GAME BREAKDOWN Update: We are excited to announce that going forward, the Game Breakdown's will be done Live at the Club on a bi-monthly basis by Coach Lars!
We will continue to post Member games on the Game Breakdown page as they are submitted so please feel free to email us any of your own games (include notes if you'd like) and they will be featured there!
--Want to play a USCF Rated Match or Quad against other CCC members? We can have them as often as we'd like, so let us know at the Club! :)
